Technical SEO & Programmatic Scale

Rankings are a rendering problem long before they're a content problem.

Most sites losing search share aren't out-written — they're unreachable. Crawl budget burned on faceted URLs, critical content trapped behind client-side rendering, schema that validates but doesn't connect. We work at the log-file and template level, which is also what makes a site legible to the AI engines reading it.

Core capabilities

Every finding comes with the diagnosis, the fix, the estimated impact and the effort — ranked, so your engineers know exactly what to pick up first.

Deep technical audit

Full-crawl and server-log analysis against a live rendering check — where Googlebot actually spends its budget, what it can't reach, and what it renders differently from your users.

  • Server log analysis: real crawl behaviour, not simulated
  • JavaScript rendering parity checks
  • Index bloat, duplication and canonical conflicts
  • Prioritised backlog scored by impact and effort

Crawl budget & architecture

Faceted navigation, pagination, parameter handling and internal link topology, restructured so crawlers spend their time on the pages that earn revenue.

  • Facet and parameter strategy that stops the bleed
  • Flatter click-depth to money pages
  • XML sitemap segmentation for indexation diagnostics

Core Web Vitals & INP

Field-data-led performance work — real INP, LCP and CLS from your users, traced to the specific script, image or layout shift responsible, then fixed in the template.

  • CrUX and RUM analysis over lab scores
  • Long-task and hydration profiling
  • Image, font and third-party script strategy

Schema architecture

Connected structured data, not disconnected snippets. A proper entity graph across Organization, Product, Article, FAQ and Breadcrumb — which is the same layer answer engines use to understand you.

  • Template-level JSON-LD with @id graph linking
  • Rich-result eligibility and validation monitoring

Programmatic page systems

Thousands of genuinely useful pages from structured data — with quality gates, index-worthiness rules and internal linking built in, so scale doesn't turn into a thin-content liability.

  • Data-model and template design
  • Index-worthiness thresholds before publication
  • Automated internal linking at scale

Internal linking & topical authority

Topic clusters mapped to real demand, with link equity routed deliberately instead of accumulating wherever the CMS happened to put it.

  • Cluster and hub architecture
  • Automated contextual linking rules

Migrations & replatforming

The highest-risk project in search, run properly: full URL mapping, redirect QA, staged rollout and daily monitoring through the drop window.

  • Complete URL inventory and redirect mapping
  • Pre-launch staging QA and post-launch monitoring

Local, international & CRO

Hreflang that resolves correctly, location pages that don't cannibalise each other, and conversion work so the traffic you win actually converts.

  • Hreflang and multi-region architecture
  • Location page systems and Business Profile work
  • Template-level conversion testing

What you receive

  • Prioritised technical backlog

Every issue with its diagnosis, fix, expected impact and effort estimate — written for engineers, in your tracker.

  • Implementation, not recommendations

We work in your codebase where you'll have us: schema, templates, performance fixes, redirect maps, shipped as reviewable PRs.

  • Schema graph specification

Template-by-template structured data spec with the @id relationships mapped out.

  • Crawl & indexation monitoring

Ongoing log and Search Console monitoring, with alerts when crawl or indexation patterns break.

  • Performance budgets

Per-template budgets wired into CI so a future release can't quietly undo the work.

  • Engineering enablement

SEO acceptance criteria your team can apply to new features without asking us first.

Deployment roadmap

  1. Weeks 1–3

    Audit & diagnosis

Crawl, logs, rendering and field performance data, reconciled into one ranked backlog rather than four disconnected reports.

  2. Weeks 4–6

    Critical fixes

Indexation blockers, canonical conflicts and crawl waste first — the issues suppressing everything downstream.

  3. Weeks 7–12

    Foundation build

Schema graph, internal link architecture, performance budgets and template-level fixes rolled out.

  4. Months 4–6

    Scale

Programmatic page systems, topical cluster expansion and digital PR against the pages that are now technically able to rank.

  5. Ongoing

    Defend

Release monitoring, regression alerts and SEO review on new features, so the next sprint doesn't cost you the gains.

Ways to work together

Take the audit and hand it to your own engineers, or have us implement it. Both are normal.

Technical Audit

$6,500

fixed fee · 3 weeks

Full diagnosis with a ranked, engineer-ready backlog. Yours to implement however you like.

  • Full crawl and server log analysis
  • JavaScript rendering audit
  • Core Web Vitals field-data review
  • Schema and indexation review
  • Prioritised backlog with effort estimates
  • Two-hour walkthrough with your engineers

Technical SEO

Technical SEO questions, answered

Does technical SEO still matter with AI search?
More than before. AI engines have to crawl, render and parse your site to cite it, and they're generally less patient than Googlebot — much of the crawling that feeds them does little to no JavaScript rendering. Content that only exists after hydration is often invisible to them. Clean HTML, fast responses and connected schema are now the price of entry for both channels.
Do you implement, or just hand over a report?
Either. Plenty of clients take the audit and run it through their own engineers, which is the cheaper path when you have capacity. On retainer we work directly in your repository and ship fixes as pull requests your team reviews and merges. Nothing lands in production without your approval.
How long until we see results?
Indexation and crawl fixes often show within two to four weeks — those are blockers, and removing a blocker has immediate effect. Ranking improvements from architecture and content work typically take three to six months. Migration work is measured differently: success there is the absence of a drop.
What size site do you work with?
Our work pays off hardest above roughly 10,000 URLs, where crawl budget and template-level decisions genuinely bite. We also take on smaller high-value sites — SaaS and B2B in particular — where the constraint is rendering, schema or performance rather than scale.
Isn't programmatic SEO just mass-produced spam?
It is when the pages have nothing to say. Done properly it means each page answers a real query with real data — inventory, pricing, specifications, availability — and pages that can't clear that bar never get published. We build index-worthiness thresholds into the pipeline for exactly this reason. The sites that got hit by the helpful-content and spam-policy updates were publishing templates with the nouns swapped.
Can you work alongside our existing SEO agency?
Yes, and it's a common arrangement. We often run as the technical and AI-search layer beneath an incumbent handling content and outreach. It works as long as ownership is explicit — we'll agree the split in writing before starting so nobody is quietly waiting on the other party.

Your engineers already suspect what's broken. Let's confirm it.

Send us your domain. We'll run a first-pass crawl before the call and open with the three issues costing you the most — whether or not you ever hire us.
